Having a German origin, I was born
in and grew up in Romania (for US people: this is in the Eastern Europe).
My education includes a masters degree in Computer Science and a doctoral degree in Mathematics.
After 5 years of teaching at the Bucharest University, since 1999 I'm working as a software engineer
at Microsoft Corporation in Seattle, USA.

My list of hobbies is rather large, including in no particular order: skiing,
snowboarding, playing piano, training in martial arts, bicycling, traveling, photography, photography, photography...

I've been always attracted by the beauty around me: beauty of the land, beauty of the people, beauty of the light.
Not a long
time ago, I discovered photographing around the human body as a source of ever-changing beauty; I've been passionately involved with photography ever since... Starting
years back as a photo hobbiest, now I am a semi-proffessional, getting published in several magazines.
I'm specializing mostly in glamour - thus, if you are a model and need new looks, or are just being

I find it much more interesting to solve problems than documenting the solutions.
Still, a few of the things I have done have ended up being documented in some way or

There are many reasons to have a blog, ("hey, everyone has a blog!") and as many reasons for not having
one ("just because your voice reaches halfway around the world doesn't mean you are wiser than when
it reached only to the end of the bar." ) Thus, the deciding reason would be, "because I want/don't want to have one".
Anyway, I decided to give it a try, so here it is (by the way, it is in Romanian)
